Requirements
- Bachelor’s degree or equivalent professional experience.
- 5+ years of experience managing major retail accounts, enterprise sales relationships, buying, merchandising, or related commercial roles.
- Previous experience managing large national retail accounts, with Walmart experience strongly preferred.
- Strong understanding of retail sales strategies, category management, promotional planning, and customer relationship development.
- Excellent business acumen with strong analytical skills and the ability to interpret complex data sets to drive decisions.
- Experience using Microsoft Office tools, particularly Excel, Outlook, and PowerPoint.
- Familiarity with retail analytics platforms such as Retail Link or Scintilla is preferred.
- Strong communication, negotiation, presentation, and stakeholder management skills.
- Ability to balance strategic vision with hands-on execution and attention to detail.
- Self-motivated, adaptable, and comfortable working in a fast-paced environment with changing priorities.
- Experience with durable goods categories is a plus.
- MBA preferred.
- Ability to travel approximately six times per year to company locations, customer meetings, or industry events.
Responsibilities
- Own and execute strategic account plans designed to drive revenue growth, market share expansion, profitability, and long-term customer success.
- Serve as the primary business leader for assigned national retail accounts, managing relationships with key stakeholders and customer decision-makers.
- Develop and implement sales strategies that align customer objectives with broader business goals across multiple product categories.
- Manage customer profitability, promotional investments, pricing strategies, and financial scenarios to maximize return on investment.
- Lead cross-functional collaboration with sales planning, category management, supply chain, customer service, finance, and other internal teams to deliver account objectives.
- Oversee omnichannel performance, including in-store placement goals, digital growth opportunities, and online sales penetration targets.
- Analyze sales data, consumer trends, and business performance metrics to identify opportunities and provide actionable insights.
- Prepare and lead customer meetings, presentations, and business reviews while ensuring strong execution against commitments.
- Partner with demand planning and supply chain teams to optimize inventory flow, forecasting accuracy, and long-term planning.
- Monitor key milestones, promotional activities, and operational initiatives to ensure flawless execution.
