Requirements

  • 3–5+ years of experience in partnerships, BD, ecosystem, platform, or community roles.
  • Deeply embedded in the SF VC ecosystem with existing relationships at platform teams, accelerators, or startup law firms.
  • Must be located in the San Francisco Metro Area.
  • Strong organizational skills with experience managing a pipeline in a CRM.
  • Excellent communication skills, both in person and in writing.
  • Self-directed with a high comfort level in ambiguous environments.
  • Professional demeanor and the ability to build and maintain trust-based relationships.
  • High energy level for frequent in-person networking and event participation.

Responsibilities

  • Own a portfolio of VC fund and accelerator relationships from first outreach through activation and long-term engagement.
  • Map the SF VC landscape by identifying funds with portfolio distress and prioritizing by referral potential.
  • Maintain referral pipelines with stakeholders including platform teams, program managers, and startup attorneys using HubSpot.
  • Manage the partner handoff loop to ensure partners receive timely and high-quality feedback.
  • Attend 3–5 Bay Area startup events per week to build and sustain professional relationships.
  • Become the recognized face of SimpleClosure in the SF startup community.
  • Collaborate with the Community team on event programming, including founder dinners and VC roundtables.
  • Gather and communicate market intelligence regarding founder concerns and ecosystem trends.
