Requirements
- 2+ years of experience in content marketing, SEO writing, or a closely related field.
- Portfolio of published work demonstrating strong writing quality and search performance.
- Hands-on experience with SEO tools such as Ahrefs, SEMrush, or Google Search Console.
- Demonstrated understanding of on-page SEO best practices, including keyword research and search intent mapping.
- Ability to write in multiple formats, including long-form guides, blog posts, and landing page copy.
- Familiarity with GEO (Generative Engine Optimization) and AI search optimization.
- Ability to work independently as an individual contributor in a fast-moving, scrappy environment.
- Availability to work during required hours of 5 PM to 1 AM PHT, Monday to Friday.
Responsibilities
- Plan, write, and publish blog posts targeting high-value keywords in the collegiate and custom apparel space.
- Develop content that serves search intent, including guides, listicles, and how-to articles.
- Manage and optimize site content, meta titles, headers, and internal linking structures.
- Develop and execute a backlink strategy targeting relevant campus media, blogs, and marketplaces.
- Develop strategies to appear as a cited source in generative AI search engines like ChatGPT and Perplexity.
- Monitor performance metrics such as organic traffic, keyword rankings, and domain authority to iterate on content strategy.
- Collaborate with the Tech team to ensure new content launches are SEO-optimized.
