Requirements
- 5+ years building production software, data, or ML systems.
- Strong systems and API design skills in Python.
- Hands-on production experience with LLM systems: retrieval/RAG, agents, tool-use, and prompt engineering.
- Proven experience building and executing robust evaluation frameworks for LLM quality.
- Solid data-engineering and data-platform foundations: pipelines, data modeling, and modern cloud data stacks (Databricks/Spark).
- Experience with MLflow and cloud warehouses.
- Platform mindset with a focus on leverage, clean interfaces, and building guardrails for non-deterministic AI systems.
- Ability to thrive in ambiguity and fast-moving technical spaces.
Responsibilities
- Design and operate the knowledge graph and ontology that capture how grocery data relates.
- Build the retrieval systems (vector, graph, and structured) that feed the right context to models.
- Build LLM-powered agents (tool-use, multi-step reasoning, orchestration) and the serving infrastructure to run them.
- Build the tools, abstractions, and interfaces other engineers depend on for an AI platform.
- Stand up eval sets, LLM-as-judge harnesses, tracing, and observability to measure quality metrics.
- Build pipelines, data products, and experimentation on Databricks/MLflow to take work from prototype to production.
