Requirements
- 3+ years building production software, data, or ML systems.
- Strong systems and API design expertise with Python.
- Hands-on production experience with LLM systems (RAG, agentic workflows, prompt and context engineering).
- Proven experience with evaluation and observability in LLM systems.
- Solid data-engineering and data-platform foundations including pipelines and data modeling.
- Proficiency with modern cloud data stacks such as Databricks, Spark, and MLflow.
- Ability to thrive in ambiguity and build foundational, reusable abstractions.
- Strong understanding of trade-offs regarding retrieval quality, latency, and cost.
Responsibilities
- Design and operate the knowledge graph and ontology that capture how grocery data relates.
- Build the retrieval systems (vector, graph, and structured) that feed context to models.
- Build LLM-powered agents (tool-use, multi-step reasoning, orchestration) and their serving infrastructure.
- Create tools, abstractions, and interfaces for other engineers to use as a platform.
- Develop evaluation sets, LLM-as-judge harnesses, tracing, and observability metrics.
- Build pipelines and experimentation workflows on Databricks/MLflow to take work from prototype to production.
