Requirements

  • 10+ years of experience in strategic partnerships, enterprise account management, business development, or commercial leadership within the payments industry.
  • Proven success managing and growing large-scale strategic partnerships with significant recurring revenue and ambitious growth objectives.
  • Deep understanding of global payment ecosystems, including merchant acquiring, payment service providers, interchange economics, payment networks, and bank transfer models.
  • Strong commercial acumen with experience negotiating complex partnership agreements, revenue-sharing structures, and long-term business strategies.
  • Ability to communicate technical payment concepts effectively while collaborating with engineering and product teams on integration feasibility and roadmap planning.
  • Demonstrated experience building executive relationships and influencing C-suite stakeholders internally and externally.
  • Strong analytical, financial modeling, and business case development skills with the ability to evaluate ROI and strategic investment opportunities.
  • Experience leading cross-functional initiatives across product, engineering, finance, legal, marketing, and operations without direct managerial authority.
  • Excellent project management, organizational, negotiation, and stakeholder management skills.
  • Comfortable working in globally distributed teams across multiple time zones and navigating fast-paced, evolving business environments.

Responsibilities

  • Own the strategic and commercial success of a major global payment partnership, driving sustained revenue growth through expansion opportunities, joint business planning, and go-to-market execution.
  • Develop and execute multi-year partnership strategies that align commercial objectives, product roadmaps, investment priorities, and market opportunities.
  • Build trusted relationships across all levels of partner organizations, serving as the primary executive contact while fostering long-term collaboration and alignment.
  • Lead executive business reviews, strategic planning sessions, contract renewals, commercial negotiations, and issue resolution with senior stakeholders.
  • Coordinate cross-functional teams across product, engineering, marketing, legal, finance, and operations to ensure successful execution of partnership initiatives.
  • Identify opportunities to expand into new markets, merchant segments, payment capabilities, and commercial models that generate mutual value.
  • Monitor partnership performance through KPIs, financial analysis, reporting, and executive presentations, ensuring accountability and continuous improvement.
  • Maintain deep awareness of the global payments ecosystem, using market intelligence to identify emerging technologies, competitive trends, and strategic growth opportunities.
  • Translate payment capability requirements into actionable priorities while collaborating with technical teams to evaluate integrations and product enhancements.
  • Establish scalable operational processes and governance frameworks that support efficient collaboration across global teams and partner organizations.
