Requirements
- Bachelor's degree or an equivalent combination of education and professional experience.
- Approximately 4–8 years of experience in sales, business development, or account management.
- Proven success achieving or exceeding sales targets and driving new business development.
- Strong consultative selling, negotiation, and relationship management skills.
- Experience using CRM platforms to manage customer relationships, forecasting, and sales pipelines.
- Strong commercial and financial acumen with the ability to develop profitable business opportunities.
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills with confidence presenting to executive stakeholders.
- Highly organized, self-motivated, and capable of managing multiple priorities independently.
- Must reside in Michigan or Ohio.
- Willing to travel frequently throughout the assigned Northeast territory, including overnight travel.
Responsibilities
- Own and grow an assigned sales territory by achieving revenue, volume, and profitability targets.
- Identify, qualify, and secure new business opportunities while expanding relationships within existing customer accounts.
- Develop and execute strategic account plans that support long-term customer growth and market expansion.
- Prepare, present, and negotiate proposals, pricing agreements, and commercial terms with prospective and existing customers.
- Maintain accurate sales forecasts, pipeline management, and opportunity tracking using CRM tools.
- Coordinate customer visits, product demonstrations, plant tours, and technical discussions.
- Collaborate with customer service, operations, supply chain, finance, and internal sales teams to ensure successful order execution.
- Resolve customer service, quality, and delivery issues by partnering with internal stakeholders.
