Requirements
- 10+ years of professional experience
- Expertise in Google Apigee (X, Hybrid, or Edge)
- Strong knowledge of API security (OAuth 2.0, OIDC, JWT, mTLS)
- Experience with API proxy development and shared flows
- Proficiency in Terraform and infrastructure as code
- Experience with CI/CD tools (Jenkins, GitHub Actions, Maven)
- Skilled in Java, JavaScript, and Python
- Ability to define enterprise API governance and standards
- Experience with Google Cloud Monitoring
Responsibilities
- Architect, design, and implement API management solutions on Google Apigee (X, Hybrid, or Edge)
- Define API standards, governance frameworks, and enterprise best practices
- Develop API proxies, shared flows, and custom policies for traffic management, security, mediation, and caching
- Implement API security: OAuth 2.0, OIDC, JWT, API key validation, mTLS, threat protection
- Migrate legacy integrations to Apigee and modernize the API landscape
- Build CI/CD pipelines for API deployments (Jenkins, GitHub Actions, Maven, Terraform/Apigee CLI)
- Establish monitoring, analytics, and alerting using Apigee Analytics and Google Cloud Monitoring
- Provide technical leadership and mentorship to integration development
