Requirements
- 5+ years of relevant professional experience.
- Strong understanding of controllership functions including accounting, AP, tax, and the financial close.
- Proven ability to identify and automate manual, repetitive financial tasks.
- Hands-on experience with AI agents, LLM-based workflows, and associated guardrails.
- Experience with accounting close, finance automation, and integration tooling.
- Comfort working with CLI-driven development and integration layers.
- Ability to operate without a defined playbook and set technical direction independently.
- Strong communication skills with the ability to explain technical concepts to both engineers and finance leadership.
- Experience with NetSuite, Zip, or similar ERP and finance systems.
- Proficiency in SQL, Python, or scripting languages like SuiteScript.
Responsibilities
- Execute and accelerate the automation roadmap, raising the technical bar for finance systems.
- Transition team workflows toward CLI-driven and agentic development.
- Build and maintain AI agents for accounting, AP, tax, reconciliations, and flux analysis.
- Implement close-management tooling such as Ledge and manage NetSuite and data warehouse integrations.
- Configure and extend ERP systems (NetSuite, Zip) and the finance integration layer.
- Collaborate with finance stakeholders to translate manual workflows into automated solutions.
- Make build-or-buy decisions for internal tools and technology vendors.
- Ensure the reliability, auditability, and security of financial systems through design reviews and monitoring.
- Provide technical leadership, mentor team members, and assist in hiring efforts.
