Requirements
- 5+ years of relevant experience.
- Deep understanding of controllership functions including accounting, AP, tax, and month-end close.
- Proven experience in automating manual, repetitive processes.
- Hands-on experience with AI agents, LLM-based workflows, and associated guardrails/monitoring.
- Experience with ERP systems, specifically NetSuite.
- Proficiency with automation and integration tools such as Workato or similar.
- Ability to write code and scripts (e.g., SuiteScript, SQL, Python).
- Strong technical communication skills to bridge gaps between finance and engineering teams.
- Experience in making architectural decisions and defining project roadmaps.
- Ability to work effectively as a senior individual contributor.
Responsibilities
- Execute and accelerate the automation roadmap for accounting, AP, tax, and reconciliations.
- Transition team workflows toward CLI-driven and agentic development.
- Develop AI agents for invoice coding, flux analysis, and tax workflows.
- Implement and integrate close-management tooling like Ledge, NetSuite, and data warehouse connections.
- Configure and extend NetSuite and Zip, managing the integration layer logic.
- Collaborate with accountants to translate their workflows into automated systems.
- Make build-or-buy technology decisions and manage vendor relationships.
- Maintain reliability, auditability, and design standards across financial systems.
- Mentor and grow the engineering team through design reviews and hiring.
