Requirements
- 12–15+ years of experience in software engineering and system architecture.
- Strong expertise in Ruby on Rails or similar dynamic backend frameworks.
- Proficiency in React or modern frontend frameworks.
- Deep knowledge of distributed systems and microservices architecture.
- Deep understanding of relational databases, specifically PostgreSQL, and data modeling.
- Strong experience with cloud platforms, specifically AWS.
- Experience with CI/CD pipelines and DevOps practices.
- Experience with containers and orchestration such as Docker and Kubernetes.
- Bachelor of Engineering in Computer Science, Software Engineering, or similar equivalent discipline.
Responsibilities
- Define and evolve the overall system architecture for the platform, ensuring scalability, performance, and resiliency.
- Establish architecture standards, design principles, and best practices across engineering teams.
- Lead design reviews and technical governance for major initiatives.
- Drive adoption of modern architectural patterns including microservices, event-driven systems, and API-first design.
- Ensure robust security, compliance, and data privacy practices across systems.
- Provide technical leadership across multiple teams, mentoring senior engineers.
- Act as a go-to expert for complex technical challenges and escalations.
- Influence engineering culture by promoting engineering excellence, code quality, and innovation.
- Work with engineering leadership on long-term platform strategy and capacity planning.
- Collaborate with DevOps and SRE teams to ensure efficient deployment and operational excellence.
