Requirements
- Deep understanding of Google Cloud Platform (GCP).
- Expertise in Infrastructure as Code using Terraform.
- Experience with container orchestration using Kubernetes and GKE.
- Strong knowledge of Site Reliability Engineering (SRE) principles.
- Extensive experience with Data Warehousing and Data Lakes.
- Knowledge of Business Intelligence (BI) and AI/Machine Learning product deployment.
- Proven ability to manage large cloud budgets and optimize infrastructure spend.
- Experience managing technical personnel such as engineers and SREs.
- Ability to lead cross-functional teams without direct authority.
- Strong communication skills for translating complex technical concepts into business value.
Responsibilities
- Define, monitor, and enforce error budgets to maintain 99.99% product availability.
- Execute production system scaling strategies and lead cloud infrastructure operational maintenance.
- Own and optimize the GCP cloud computing budget through effective FinOps practices.
- Partner with Data Engineers to tune BigQuery tables and optimize ETL/ELT pipelines for performance.
- Enable AI/ML initiatives by structuring data architecture and preparing datasets for Data Scientists.
- Collaborate with Legal and Security teams to ensure compliance with privacy regulations like GDPR and CCPA using Cloud IAM.
