Requirements
- At least 5 years of industry experience as a data engineer or similar role.
- Expertise in Python and fluency in SQL.
- Experience developing maintainable data pipelines.
- Proven experience managing 3 or more people.
- Experience creating automated testing and applying design patterns.
- Ability to balance individual contributor and manager/mentor responsibilities.
- Strong project leadership skills from idea generation through to delivery.
- Working knowledge of how ML/AI applications are deployed and monitored.
- Strong communication skills for both technical and non-technical stakeholders.
Responsibilities
- Collaborate with product managers, data analysts, and machine learning engineers to develop pipelines and ETL tasks.
- Establish data architecture processes and practices that can be scheduled, automated, and replicated.
- Inform data team strategy by working with product leaders and managers.
- Participate in execution and planning of organizational data team strategy.
- Collaborate with Data Leadership team to ensure organizational success.
- Manage individual Data Engineers to foster learning, growth, and success.
