Requirements
- Demonstrated experience in a quota-carrying sales role with a history of meeting or exceeding revenue targets.
- Understanding of law enforcement agency structures, local government operations, and public sector buying processes.
- Knowledge of RFP processes, cooperative purchasing agreements, and government budget cycles.
- Experience selling into government, public safety, law enforcement, SaaS, or technology markets.
- Strong discovery and active listening abilities to identify customer needs and recommend solutions.
- Ability to build credibility and establish trust with senior stakeholders and public safety professionals.
- Experience using Salesforce or comparable CRM platforms.
- Familiarity with LinkedIn, social selling approaches, and AI-enabled sales tools.
- Ability to work independently and manage priorities in a remote environment.
- Bachelor’s degree preferred or equivalent professional experience.
- Willingness to travel based on territory requirements, customer meetings, and industry events.
Responsibilities
- Manage and exceed assigned territory quotas and sales objectives through proactive pipeline development.
- Prospect and engage with police departments, sheriff’s offices, district attorney offices, and other public safety organizations.
- Generate, qualify, and advance opportunities from initial outreach through close or collaboration with account executives.
- Build trusted relationships with government decision-makers, including law enforcement leaders, command staff, and procurement teams.
- Conduct outbound sales activities through phone, email, social selling, and in-person engagement.
- Support account executives on strategic opportunities by providing public sector market expertise.
- Navigate government procurement processes, including RFPs, cooperative purchasing agreements, and budget cycles.
- Attend customer meetings, industry conferences, and public sector events.
- Maintain accurate customer information and pipeline updates within CRM systems.
