Requirements
- Bachelor’s degree in Life Sciences, Business, or related field; advanced degree preferred.
- 6+ years of experience in clinical outsourcing/vendor management within pharma/biotech or CRO.
- Proven experience negotiating complex contracts and managing vendor relationships.
- Knowledge of clinical trial operations, regulatory requirements, and financial management.
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills with presentation proficiency.
- Ability to work in a fast-paced, matrixed environment.
- Strong problem-solving, strategic thinking, and analytical skills.
- Ability to travel up to 10% of the time, including overnight travel.
- Experience in Commercial Sourcing is a plus.
Responsibilities
- Execute outsourcing strategies for clinical trials in collaboration with Clinical Development.
- Lead RFI/RFP processes, vendor evaluations, and bid defense meetings for various specialty vendors.
- Negotiate and manage MSAs, work orders, and change orders in partnership with Legal.
- Lead and manage special project initiatives including preferred provider relationships and SOP development.
- Collaborate with internal stakeholders to manage vendor relationships and resolve performance issues.
- Partner with Finance to forecast study budgets and manage financial accruals.
- Drive standardization and process improvement across vendors to ensure operational efficiency.
- Train and educate clinical development and other functional areas on outsourcing activities.
