Requirements

  • Qualification in Business Administration, Management, Economics, or a related field.
  • Proven experience in a similar role managing donor-funded projects or grant writing for non-profit organizations in an international environment.
  • Experience managing multi-country, multi-year grants with institutional donors.
  • Experience with design, management, monitoring, and evaluation for development projects.
  • Ability to operationalize projects by breaking down outcomes into outputs and activities.
  • Strong analytical skills with experience using PowerBI, Excel, or similar tools.
  • Excellent organizational and time management skills.
  • Ability to engage and coordinate multiple stakeholders effectively.
  • Strong written and verbal communication skills.
  • Project-management qualification is an asset.
  • Affinity with the mission of GRI.
  • Ability to work in an international and multi-cultural setting.

Responsibilities

  • Define grant activity planning using project-management practices like GANTT charts and critical path identification.
  • Manage daily project implementation, monitoring progress, performance indicators, and addressing deviations.
  • Ensure project-management compliance with donor requirements, operational best practices, and objectives.
  • Lead grant narrative reporting, tracking deadlines and coordinating inputs from implementing teams.
  • Review legal instruments such as MoUs and service agreements for alignment with program objectives and budget.
  • Support impact measurement activities, including reviewing MEL consultancies and research project quality.
  • Provide financial oversight in collaboration with Finance to ensure donor regulation compliance and budget performance.
  • Approve financial expenditures ensuring alignment with program objectives and contractual obligations.
  • Review fundraising proposals to ensure alignment with current programs and team capacity.
