Requirements

  • 12+ years of experience in brand partnerships, cultural marketing, strategic partnerships, integrated marketing, or entertainment/sports marketing.
  • Proven track record developing partnerships that strengthened brand relevance or expanded reach.
  • Strong cultural fluency with a clear point of view on institutions, platforms, and ideas shaping culture.
  • Excellent brand judgment to assess values alignment, audience relevance, and creative potential.
  • Strong ability to translate mission and values into authentic partnership programs.
  • Experience developing campaigns, content, events, and activations with external partners.
  • Ability to build trusted relationships with influential individuals, creators, and institutions.
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills with the ability to influence senior stakeholders.
  • Strong project management skills to manage multiple partners and priorities simultaneously.
  • Ability to work effectively in a highly cross-functional environment with teams like Brand, Creative, Legal, and Global Affairs.
  • Comfort working in fast-moving and ambiguous environments.

Responsibilities

  • Develop and lead OpenAI’s brand partnership strategy by identifying key individuals, organizations, and cultural platforms.
  • Build a pipeline of high-impact partnerships to increase cultural relevance and reach priority audiences.
  • Serve as the primary marketing lead for key partners, guiding programs from strategy through negotiation and execution.
  • Shape the strategic and creative vision for campaigns, content, events, and activations.
  • Protect brand integrity by establishing clear principles for partner selection and creative development.
  • Create scalable frameworks for evaluating and managing partnership opportunities.
  • Define and track success measures using audience, brand, and cultural performance signals.
