Requirements
- 5+ years of backend development experience in distributed systems, microservices, and high-throughput services.
- 1+ years of people management experience, or 2+ years as a tech lead/mentor for a backend team.
- Proficiency in at least one backend language (Golang preferred; Java, Kotlin, C++, Rust, or similar).
- Experience in adtech or martech, specifically with creative serving in programmatic advertising.
- Experience with Dynamic Creative Optimization (DCO), and ad markup and rendering.
- Strong grasp of computer science fundamentals, data structures, and algorithms.
- Hands-on experience with modern development methodologies like Scrum and Kanban.
- Clear, transparent communication skills for technical and non-technical stakeholders.
- Comfortable with code reviews, architecture debates, and production incident support.
Responsibilities
- Lead a team of backend engineers managing the creative pipeline, supporting day-to-day execution, and removing blockers.
- Execute on roadmap milestones, breaking initiatives into scoped sprints and tracking delivery status.
- Run agile rituals including stand-ups, planning, and retrospectives while monitoring sprint health.
- Conduct regular 1:1s, provide tactical feedback, and support engineer growth plans.
- Participate in code reviews, architecture discussions, and design decisions to maintain high technical standards.
- Coordinate with peer teams like Bidding and Data Science on cross-team dependencies.
- Participate in incident resolution and support the team's on-call rotation to ensure production stability.
- Assist in hiring processes and onboard new team members.
