Requirements
- Legal education (Masters of Law, Juris Doctor, or recognized legal certification).
- 2-6 years of experience as legal counsel or similar position.
- At least 2 years of experience working with contracts and data protection law.
- Experience preparing Data Protection Agreements and Transfer Impact Assessments.
- Experience contacting vendors regarding contract-related issues.
- Ability to distill complex legal concepts into plain English.
- Professional experience or interest in AI technology.
- Perfect fluency in English.
- Comfortable reviewing and discussing uncensored AI-generated and NSFW content.
- Goal-oriented with a doer mindset.
Responsibilities
- Own compliance with worldwide laws applicable to AI and e-commerce platforms.
- Prepare and maintain compliance documentation including data protection, AI governance, and consumer rights.
- Manage AI systems inventory in line with EU guidance.
- Conduct risk assessments under applicable safety laws.
- Perform product and feature reviews for compliance with consumer rights and data protection.
- Handle day-to-day compliance tasks including IP issues, contract reviews, and legal terms updates.
- Track, research, and analyze relevant legal developments and regulatory guidance.
