Requirements
- Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field.
- 4+ years of progressive accounting experience, preferably in public accounting.
- Strong knowledge and practical application of US GAAP.
- CPA certification (strongly preferred).
- Proficiency in Microsoft Excel.
- Ability to quickly learn new accounting systems like Sage Intacct.
- Demonstrated ability to leverage AI tools to improve business processes (preferred).
- Excellent analytical and critical thinking skills.
- Ability to work proactively and independently in a fast-paced environment.
- Collaborative mindset with strong organizational and interpersonal skills.
Responsibilities
- Own key areas of the month-end close process, including preparing complex journal entries, account reconciliations, and fluctuation analyses.
- Assist in developing guidance on the accounting implications of new transactions and ensure compliance with US GAAP.
- Assist in developing and designing our internal controls to improve the accuracy of our financial records and scale our processes.
- Assist in the preparation of technical accounting memorandums and support drafting of footnotes and schedules for our financial statements.
- Coordinate internal and external audit activities, serving as a key point of contact for auditors.
- Drive process improvements by identifying opportunities to automate and streamline accounting workflows.
