Requirements
- Bachelor's degree in Accounting or Finance; CPA preferred.
- 4-7 years of progressive experience in revenue accounting or related roles.
- Advanced knowledge of US GAAP and revenue recognition principles, with specific expertise in ASC 606.
- Proficiency with ERP systems, with experience in NetSuite or similar platforms.
- Advanced skills in Microsoft Excel, including the ability to create complex spreadsheets and financial models.
- Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills, with meticulous attention to detail.
- Effective communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to collaborate cross-functionally and influence key stakeholders.
- Ability to think strategically and drive process improvements.
- Ability to work independently with minimal supervision.
- Experience with data visualization and analytics tools such as Power BI, Tableau, or Alteryx preferred.
- Experience working with Salesforce or other CRM systems preferred.
- Prior public accounting experience preferred.
Responsibilities
- Support the revenue accounting function, ensuring accurate and timely recording of revenue transactions in compliance with US GAAP and ASC 606.
- Perform monthly close tasks for all revenue-related activities.
- Prepare monthly journal entries, reconciliations, variance analysis, and other analytics to ensure complete and accurate recognition of revenues.
- Collaborate cross-functionally with finance, sales, operations, and other business partners to provide guidance on complex revenue transactions.
- Leverage data analytics tools to identify revenue trends and improve forecasting accuracy.
- Assist in the development and implementation of process improvements to increase efficiency and quality.
- Provide support and maintenance regarding internal controls over the order-to-cash cycle.
- Coordinate directly with external auditors to ensure compliance.
- Mentor staff accountants and assist in establishing departmental best practices.
