- Legal education (e.g., Masters of Law, Juris Doctor, or recognized legal certification).
- 2-6 years of experience as legal counsel or in similar positions.
- At least 2 years of experience working with contracts and data protection law.
- Demonstrated experience preparing Data Protection Agreements (DPAs) and Transfer Impact Assessments (TIAs).
- Experience contacting vendors regarding contract-related issues.
- Interest or experience in the legal landscape applicable to B2C companies.
- Ability to distill complex legal concepts into plain English.
- Professional experience or strong interest in AI.
- Perfect fluency in English.
- Comfortable reviewing and discussing uncensored AI-generated content, including NSFW material.
Responsibilities
- Own compliance with worldwide laws applicable to AI and e-commerce platforms.
- Manage contracts and assessments under data protection law, including GDPR (DPAs, TIAs, etc.).
- Prepare and maintain compliance documentation, including AI systems inventory and risk assessments.
- Perform product and feature reviews for consumer rights and data protection compliance.
- Handle day-to-day compliance tasks including IP issues (DMCA), contract reviews (NDAs, licenses), and terms updates (TOS, Privacy Notices).
- Track, research, and analyze relevant legal developments and regulatory guidance.
