Requirements
- Legal education (e.g., Masters of Law, Juris Doctor, or recognized legal certification).
- 2-6 years of professional experience as legal counsel or in similar roles.
- At least 2 years of experience working with contracts and data protection law.
- Experience preparing Data Protection Agreements and Transfer Impact Assessments.
- Experience contacting vendors regarding contract-related issues.
- Interest in or experience with the legal landscape applicable to B2C companies.
- Ability to distill complex legal concepts into plain English.
- Professional experience or interest in the AI industry.
- Perfect fluency in English.
- Comfortable reviewing and discussing uncensored AI-generated content and NSFW material.
Responsibilities
- Own compliance with worldwide laws applicable to AI and e-commerce platforms.
- Manage contracts and assessments required under data protection law, including GDPR (DPAs, TIAs).
- Maintain compliance documentation including internal policies, AI system inventories, and safety risk assessments.
- Perform product and feature reviews to ensure alignment with consumer rights and data protection regulations.
- Handle day-to-day legal tasks including managing DMCA notices, IP issues, and contract reviews.
- Update legal terms including TOS, Privacy Notices, and content policies.
- Research and analyze regulatory developments and their application to the platform.
