Requirements
- Juris Doctor (JD) from an accredited law school.
- Active bar membership in good standing.
- 7 to 10 years of law practice experience in firm and in-house settings.
- Expertise in federal government contracting (FAR/DFARS).
- Experience negotiating with government contracting officers and prime contractors.
- Expertise in SaaS/technology commercial transactions.
- Working knowledge of privacy and data protection laws (GDPR, US state laws).
- Experience managing outside counsel.
- Ability to translate legal terms into business impact.
Responsibilities
- Serve as subject matter expert on federal procurement including FAR and DFARS.
- Negotiate government contract vehicles such as GSA Schedule, NASA SEWP, and ITES-SW2.
- Negotiate commercial agreements including SaaS, EULAs, MSAs, and NDAs.
- Manage federal channel and distribution agreements with prime contractors and resellers.
- Oversee corporate governance and board meeting activities.
- Engage and manage outside counsel for specialized legal matters.
- Develop legal and risk management strategies to support business growth.
