Requirements
- 12–15+ years of progressive experience in data engineering, warehousing, and architecture.
- Previous data architect experience in a FinTech SaaS environment.
- Deep, hands-on expertise with Azure Databricks, PySpark, Delta Lake, and Unity Catalog.
- Production experience with Informatica Data Management Cloud (IDMC) or similar integration platforms.
- Proven track record of designing and implementing detailed meta-models and end-to-end data models.
- Strong command of dimensional modeling (Kimball) and Data Vault 2.0.
- Expert SQL proficiency and strong Python/PySpark development skills.
- Demonstrated experience implementing data governance, lineage, and metadata management programs.
- Working knowledge of FinTech regulatory and compliance requirements (e.g., GLBA, SOC 2, PCI, NIST).
- Excellent communication skills for translating complex data concepts to both technical and executive audiences.
Responsibilities
- Define enterprise conceptual, logical, and physical data models for analytical and operational platforms.
- Develop and maintain a meta-model for entities, relationships, lineage, and sensitivity classifications.
- Architect medallion (bronze/silver/gold) Delta Lake patterns on Databricks.
- Write PySpark, SQL, and Delta Lake code to build reference implementations and prototypes.
- Design data integration pipelines using Informatica Data Management Cloud (IDMC), CDC, batch, and streaming.
- Partner with governance and security teams to operationalize cataloging, masking, and access controls.
- Establish standards for data modeling, naming conventions, and review processes for the Data Engineering team.
- Collaborate with Product, Engineering, and Finance teams to translate business needs into durable data designs.
