Requirements

  • 15+ years of experience in cloud and data infrastructure, including security engineering, platform security, or security operations.
  • Significant production experience with Snowflake architecture, administration, and operational governance.
  • Deep expertise in Snowflake security controls, including RBAC, managed access, secure data sharing, and column/row-level access.
  • Hands-on experience with Snowflake audit and telemetry data (e.g., ACCESS_HISTORY, QUERY_HISTORY) for anomaly detection.
  • Experience integrating Snowflake logs into SIEM platforms like Splunk, Microsoft Sentinel, CrowdStrike, or Datadog.
  • Strong technical depth in network/identity controls including PrivateLink, IP allowlisting, MFA, SSO/SAML, and OAuth.
  • Hands-on experience with secrets management tools like AWS Secrets Manager, HashiCorp Vault, or Azure Key Vault.
  • Strong working experience with SQL, Infrastructure as Code (IaC), Python automation, and CI/CD pipelines.
  • Experience delivering managed services or consulting in complex enterprise environments.
  • Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or equivalent practical experience.

Responsibilities

  • Lead the architecture, hardening, and continuous security improvement of enterprise Snowflake platforms across complex, security-sensitive client environments.
  • Translate business, security, and technical requirements into operating models, roadmaps, and engineering work.
  • Design and lead proactive monitoring, alerting, and threat detection across Snowflake environments by integrating with SIEM or similar platforms.
  • Perform threat modeling and attack-path analysis to identify and remediate risk across access models, data sharing, network controls, and third-party integrations.
  • Guide architectural and operational decisions across governance, authentication, privileged access, and data protection.
  • Serve as a trusted advisor to client stakeholders and internal teams, communicating trade-offs and remediation plans.
  • Create automation, runbooks, and accelerators to improve managed services standards.
  • Lead cross-functional teams and mentor engineers to mature the managed services delivery model.
