Requirements
- Solid production-grade Kubernetes experience, including troubleshooting and managing networking/storage.
- Broad infrastructure competence across Linux systems, networking, storage, observability, and CI/CD pipelines.
- Proven experience with Infrastructure as Code (IaC) tooling such as Terraform or Ansible.
- Background in SRE or customer-facing technical support with strong incident response skills.
- Experience in a consultancy or client-facing technical role.
- Strong verbal and written English communication skills.
- Ability to work effectively in a self-directed, remote, and asynchronous environment.
- Familiarity with cloud providers (AWS, GCP, or Azure) is preferred.
- Experience with CI/CD platforms like GitLab CI or GitHub Actions is preferred.
- Familiarity with observability tools (Prometheus, Grafana, Loki, or OpenTelemetry) is a plus.
- Understanding of security and compliance practices like RBAC and network policies.
Responsibilities
- Design, deploy, and maintain production infrastructure for client workloads, focusing on Kubernetes, networking, storage, and observability.
- Own the operational health of client platforms, including incident response and post-mortems.
- Advocate for and implement well-maintained, community-aligned open source tooling.
- Manage infrastructure configuration as version-controlled, repeatable software.
- Translate complex operational needs into technical solutions while advising clients on long-term maintainability.
- Balance technical excellence with business pressures, providing transparent communication on timelines and project challenges.
- Mentor colleagues and contribute to shaping the infrastructure consultancy practice.
