Requirements

  • Active California Bar license in good standing.
  • 7+ years of experience managing plaintiff-side employment litigation teams, practice groups, or law firm litigation functions.
  • Proven success handling, negotiating, and resolving complex employment law disputes.
  • Strong leadership experience with demonstrated ability to manage, coach, and develop legal professionals.
  • Excellent litigation judgment combined with a strong operational and business mindset.
  • Ability to oversee multiple high-stakes matters while maintaining quality, consistency, and strategic alignment.
  • Strong communication, negotiation, and stakeholder management skills.

Responsibilities

  • Lead and oversee litigation strategy, case outcomes, and performance across the litigation team, ensuring strong results in complex employment law matters.
  • Manage outside counsel relationships and coordinate external legal resources to support case execution and efficiency.
  • Partner with senior leadership on case selection, litigation priorities, and performance metrics to align legal strategy with organizational goals.
  • Drive settlement strategy and lead negotiations on high-value, complex employment disputes.
  • Recruit, mentor, and develop attorneys and litigation staff to strengthen team capability and performance.
  • Identify and implement operational and technology improvements to enhance productivity, efficiency, and case management processes.
