Requirements
- 5–7 years of progressive Human Resources Business Partner experience with significant employee relations expertise.
- Strong knowledge of both Canadian and U.S. employment law, including federal, provincial, state, and leave legislation.
- Demonstrated experience managing workplace investigations, performance management, employee terminations, and accommodations.
- Experience administering leave of absence programs across multiple jurisdictions.
- Advanced proficiency with Google Sheets or Microsoft Excel, including formulas, pivot tables, and lookups.
- Experience using AI tools such as ChatGPT, Claude, Copilot, or Gemini.
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
- Strong organizational skills to manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced environment.
- High level of discretion and professionalism.
- Bachelor's degree in Human Resources or a related field preferred.
- CPHR and/or SHRM certification considered an asset.
- Experience supporting organizational change, restructuring, or mergers and acquisitions is a plus.
Responsibilities
- Act as the primary HR advisor for employee relations matters, including workplace investigations, policy interpretation, conflict resolution, accommodations, and performance management.
- Manage end-to-end employee terminations, documentation, and coordination with legal partners.
- Advise managers on performance improvement plans, disciplinary actions, and progressive performance management.
- Administer employee leave programs, including medical, parental, disability, and statutory leaves.
- Support organizational design, restructures, workforce planning, and change management efforts.
- Deliver company-wide HR programs such as performance reviews, engagement initiatives, and compensation cycles.
- Leverage AI tools to streamline reporting, documentation, project management, and HR workflows.
- Analyze workforce data to identify trends and support strategic decision-making.
- Collaborate with talent acquisition to support recruitment and onboarding.
