- At least 1 year of sales development or business development experience at a technology company.
- 1+ years of closing experience in another industry.
- Understanding of or interest in the cloud computing/communications business model.
- Excitement for selling to a technical audience using a solution-oriented approach.
- Strong written and verbal communication skills.
- Ability to explain complex technical and financial details simply.
- Technical solutions selling experience.
- High adaptability and comfort working in a rapid-paced environment.
- Ability to think outside the box.
Responsibilities
- Responsible for net new customer acquisition and driving new revenue for a specific territory while maintaining the highest levels of customer satisfaction.
- Understand customer business and technical requirements across all verticals.
- Design solutions for specific customer use case needs utilizing Twilio’s communications API platform.
- Work diligently with cross-functional internal teams (Sales Development, Marketing, Product, Engineering, Support) to address customer requirements.
- Advise on digital communication strategies and help customers get started on the Twilio platform.
- Balance competing priorities and manage multiple projects/deals simultaneously.
- Build out new processes and help the team create a playbook.
