Requirements
- 10+ years of combined experience in construction, estimating, pre-construction, or capital project roles.
- Proven experience with Class 3 and Class 4 estimation for industrial and manufacturing projects.
- Demonstrated experience estimating high-budget industrial or manufacturing projects valued at $20 million+.
- Bachelor’s degree in Engineering (any discipline) or Construction Management.
- Hands-on experience with industry-standard estimating software (e.g., ProEst, Procore, RS Means).
- Proficiency in AutoCAD and Microsoft Office Suite (Excel, Word, PowerPoint, Project).
- Experience developing scope of work documents and reviewing vendor/contract bid packages.
- Ability to travel up to 30% for site visits.
Responsibilities
- Develop Class 3 and Class 4 capital cost estimates for manufacturing, warehouse, and facility expansion projects.
- Produce detailed quantity take-offs and cost breakdowns across civil, structural, mechanical, electrical, and instrumentation disciplines.
- Build, refine, and own organizational estimating methodologies and tools.
- Review engineering drawings, specifications, scope of work documents, bid packages, and vendor quotes for accuracy.
- Collaborate with engineering, operations, supply chain, and project management teams to scope and estimate projects.
- Research and validate market pricing, labor rates, and equipment costs.
- Present estimates to internal stakeholders and leadership.
- Travel to manufacturing and distribution sites approximately 30% of the time.
