Requirements
- 10+ years of combined experience in engineering, construction, or capital project environments with a focus on estimating.
- Proven experience producing Class 3 and Class 4 estimates for industrial/manufacturing projects exceeding $20M.
- Bachelor’s degree in Engineering or Construction Management.
- Proficiency with estimating software such as ProEst, Procore, or RSMeans.
- Advanced Microsoft Excel skills.
- Ability to interpret technical drawings and specifications using AutoCAD.
- Experience developing scopes of work and reviewing contractor/vendor bids.
- Ability to coordinate across multidisciplinary teams.
Responsibilities
- Develop Class 3 and Class 4 capital cost estimates for industrial, manufacturing, warehouse, and facility expansion projects.
- Perform detailed quantity take-offs and multi-discipline cost breakdowns covering civil, structural, mechanical, electrical, and equipment elements.
- Establish, refine, and maintain estimating methodologies, tools, and standards.
- Review engineering drawings, specifications, and contractor/vendor proposals.
- Collaborate with engineering, operations, and procurement teams to define project scope.
- Present cost estimates and financial insights to leadership.
- Conduct site visits (~30% travel) for project scoping and validation.
