Requirements
- 7+ years of software engineering experience with production systems, integrations, and operations.
- 2+ years of engineering management experience including hiring, coaching, and developing engineers.
- Demonstrated track record of delivering complex technical work while balancing feature delivery and reliability.
- Experience leading teams responsible for production systems, including on-call and incident response.
- Hands-on background with .NET/C# and distributed systems.
- Proficiency with AWS and containerization/orchestration tools like Docker and Kubernetes.
- Technical credibility to guide architecture and trade-off decisions for backend and API integrations.
- Excellent communication skills for cross-functional collaboration.
- Data-informed approach to managing team health, delivery, and reliability metrics.
- Ability to lead through shifting priorities and balance team capacity against business needs.
Responsibilities
- Set team direction, standards, hiring bar, and capacity planning.
- Coach engineers through 1:1s, real-time feedback, and performance reviews to foster growth and psychological safety.
- Ensure system availability, performance, and operational health through observability, incident response, and on-call practices.
- Manage delivery cadence and influence the roadmap to balance feature work with technical investments.
- Partner with Product, operations, and other engineering leads to align on goals, risks, and trade-offs.
