Requirements
- 10+ years of full-cycle (A-Z) qualified retirement plan administration experience.
- Demonstrated experience administering complex defined contribution retirement plans.
- ASPPA QKA designation required.
- QPA and/or Certified Pension Consultant (CPC/CBS) strongly preferred.
- Expertise in non-discrimination testing (401(a)(4), 414(s), BRF).
- Expertise in Controlled Group and Affiliated Service Group rules.
- Proficiency in trust accounting.
- Experience administering PEPs, MEPs, Group of Plans, and combo DC/CB or DC/DB arrangements.
- Prior experience leading or mentoring retirement plan administration staff.
- Strong analytical, organizational, and project management abilities.
Responsibilities
- Administer a portfolio of 65–75 qualified retirement plans from A-Z.
- Perform annual compliance testing including ADP/ACP, Top Heavy, 410(b), 401(a)(4), 414(s), and BRF.
- Administer complex plan designs including Safe Harbor, Profit Sharing, cross-tested, combo, PEPs, MEPs, and GOPs.
- Coordinate annual valuations and prepare government filings including Forms 5500, 8955-SSA, and 5330.
- Provide leadership, oversight, and mentorship to an assigned Retirement Plan Administrator.
- Monitor team workflow, review work for quality, and serve as an escalation point for complex client issues.
- Conduct performance reviews and support the professional development of team members.
