Requirements

  • Experience in Collections and Recoveries strategies.
  • Experience working with external partners, including relationship management and auditing.
  • Understanding of UK regulatory landscape including CONC, SYSC, Consumer Duty, and the CCA.
  • Demonstrated leadership experience (directly or indirectly) and ability to drive strategic projects.
  • Ability to identify, articulate, and mitigate risks associated with strategic changes.
  • Strong judgement and ability to make trade-offs between desired goals and feasibility.
  • Proven ability to gain approval for proposed business changes.
  • Strong research, analysis, and mapping skills for new operational domains or regulations.
  • Ability to work effectively in a fast-moving, ambiguous environment.
  • Experience working cross-functionally with engineering, risk, operations, and finance teams.
  • Commitment to achieving the best outcomes for customers in financial difficulty.

Responsibilities

  • Drive Financial Health strategy improvements through indirect leadership in a squad structure.
  • Deliver strategic changes that lead to good customer outcomes while protecting organizational interests.
  • Collaborate with analysts, product managers, engineers, and operations staff to implement changes.
  • Analyze impact using qualitative and quantitative data and monitor overall portfolio performance.
  • Support the growth and development of junior team members.
  • Manage external partners to ensure they adhere to standards and deliver positive outcomes.
  • Document and execute strategy with appropriate governance, control, and monitoring.
