Requirements
- Early career experience demonstrating high performance in demanding environments like consulting, startups, or nonprofits.
- Exceptional written and verbal communication skills for high-stakes, external-facing materials.
- Strong organizational skills and a bias for independent execution.
- Demonstrated experience or exposure to high-value external relationships, strategic initiatives, or fundraising.
- High level of curiosity and ability to learn quickly about the funder landscape and HNW philanthropy ecosystem.
- Deep commitment to the organizational mission.
- Ability to work independently, manage competing priorities, and maintain deadlines.
- Capacity to operate in high-ambiguity environments and create infrastructure from scratch.
Responsibilities
- Serve as primary point of contact for a new portfolio of high-net-worth donors, family offices, and tech-sector philanthropists.
- Map and engage relevant networks across the West Coast, including tech ecosystems, startup networks, and EA communities.
- Design and host intimate gatherings, learning sessions, and experiences to connect prospective supporters to the mission.
- Develop compelling pitches, one-pagers, and communication materials tailored to high-net-worth audiences.
- Build and maintain a robust pipeline of prospective partners with clear strategies for progression and conversion.
- Contribute to building the systems, processes, and playbooks necessary to scale the fundraising channel.
