Requirements

  • Active and unrestricted Medical License in California.
  • 2+ years of experience as a Psychiatric Advance Practice Provider.
  • Certification in Psychiatry (PMHNP or Psychiatry CAQ).
  • Current DEA License.
  • Bilingual proficiency in English and Spanish.
  • Experience with trauma-informed approaches and harm reduction modeling.
  • Comfort working in a fully remote, virtual environment.
  • Ability to provide telemedicine services.
  • Patient-first mindset.
  • Access to a quiet, dedicated workspace with reliable internet connectivity.

Responsibilities

  • Conduct psychiatric diagnostic evaluations for general mental health and substance use disorder across all ages.
  • Perform psychopharmacological management of diagnosed treatment conditions.
  • Provide medication-assisted treatment for patients with OUD in active withdrawal or recovery.
  • Deliver supportive psychotherapy, motivational interviewing, and trauma-informed care using harm reduction models.
  • Demonstrate proficiency in care coordination between psychiatry, substance use treatment, and medical integration.
  • Complete validated rating scales, documentation, and treatment plans.
  • Collaborate with multidisciplinary teams including PCPs, pediatricians, OB/GYN, counselors, and peer support staff.
