Requirements
- Demonstrated track record of delivering results and owning increasing responsibilities.
- Deep experience living and/or working in Sub-Saharan Africa.
- Broad operations experience across functions like finance, HR, procurement, compliance, ethics, IT, audit, and risk management.
- Excellent ability to influence and manage diverse stakeholders, including change management.
- Ability to juggle a wide range of responsibilities reliably and nimbly in a fast-paced environment.
- Diverse work background with adaptability across high-performing contexts such as tech, management consulting, or the private sector.
- Proactive, hands-on mindset with experience as a systems builder.
- Ability to travel 15%-25% for country office visits and team offsites.
Responsibilities
- Strengthen and standardize country operations by ensuring clear roles, accountability, and robust operating routines.
- Define and implement simple, scalable operating models across HR, finance, procurement, compliance, IT, security, and risk.
- Coordinate between program teams and central functions to ensure efficient resource allocation and rollout of global standards.
- Oversee financial management across all country offices with accountability for budgets and operational cost-efficiency.
- Lead country expansions and transitions including new office launches and compliant wind-downs.
- Translate operational insights into repeatable systems, tools, and automation to reduce manual work and increase scale.
- Maintain a global risk framework and support crisis management as needed.
