Requirements

  • 2+ years of contracts or legal experience (or equivalent combination of legal education and experience).
  • Law degree or relevant bachelor’s degree with strong experience in commercial contracts and negotiations.
  • Proven experience reviewing, drafting, and negotiating commercial agreements in a sales or procurement environment.
  • Strong understanding of SaaS, cloud services, software licensing, or technology-driven commercial models is an asset.
  • Excellent analytical skills with the ability to identify legal, commercial, and operational risks.
  • Strong attention to detail with the ability to manage multiple contracts under tight deadlines.
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills in English, with confidence engaging stakeholders at all levels.
  • Ability to work effectively in cross-functional and geographically distributed teams.
  • Proficiency with business and productivity tools such as Microsoft Word, Excel, and contract management systems.
  • Strong organizational skills with a process-oriented mindset and commitment to continuous improvement.

Responsibilities

  • Review, redline, and negotiate a broad range of commercial contracts including NDAs, MSAs, SOWs, and software licensing or procurement agreements.
  • Lead contract discussions with clients, vendors, and partners, balancing legal risk with business objectives and commercial priorities.
  • Manage the end-to-end contract lifecycle, ensuring accurate documentation, storage, and governance within internal systems.
  • Provide recommendations and escalation guidance to senior stakeholders on complex or high-value contractual matters.
  • Collaborate closely with Sales, Finance, Legal, Procurement, IT, Security, and Product teams to support deal execution and compliance.
  • Conduct peer reviews of contract redlines and contribute to quality assurance of legal outputs across the team.
  • Support continuous improvement of legal processes, including templates, playbooks, workflows, and training materials.
  • Assist in reviewing documentation for strategic partnerships, acquisitions, and other key commercial initiatives.
  • Ensure compliance with internal policies, global regulatory requirements, and risk management frameworks.
  • Work with process and systems teams to maintain and optimize contract management tools and knowledge repositories.
