Requirements

  • High school diploma required; college degree preferred.
  • Strong understanding of Employee Benefits products, terminology, and sales processes.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office suite (Outlook, Word, PowerPoint, Teams, Excel).
  • Ability to learn and effectively use CRM and agency management software.
  • Strong multi-tasking, prioritization, and time management skills.
  • Strong interpersonal, written, and oral communication skills.
  • Customer service-oriented approach with the ability to build rapport.
  • Valid driver’s license.
  • Washington Life and Disability/Health/Travel license preferred (or must obtain within 60 days of hire).
  • Professional designations such as CEBS, BGA, PHR, or CLU are preferred.

Responsibilities

  • Identify, research, and organize prospective client opportunities within targeted industries and markets.
  • Maintain accurate prospect and pipeline information in CRM and internal systems.
  • Prepare sales materials, proposals, and presentations for prospective clients.
  • Coordinate sales activities, including internal meetings, webinars, and follow-up correspondence.
  • Support the client service team with onboarding, renewal coordination, and documentation management.
  • Track key business development activities and deliverables to ensure progress through the sales pipeline.
