Requirements
- Portfolio of shipped consumer product work across web and native mobile.
- Proven systems thinking skills with experience in design systems.
- Ability to run generative and evaluative research to inform design decisions.
- Experience using AI tools to prototype, explore, and iterate at speed.
- Proficiency in writing production frontend code.
- Experience with product strategy and articulating design rationale to stakeholders.
- Experience with e-commerce, marketplace, or registry products is a plus.
- Familiarity with modern frontend stacks such as React, React Native, or Swift UI is a plus.
- Background in motion design, animation, or advanced CSS is a plus.
Responsibilities
- Own a customer journey or major product experience end-to-end.
- Set the design vision and define the sequence of bets to achieve 12-18 month goals.
- Design and build experiences that drive business outcomes and solve user problems.
- Conduct research and leverage user insights to ground design decisions.
- Contribute to and evolve the Babylist design system for web and native mobile.
- Write production frontend code to implement, refine, and polish design experiences.
- Build AI-enabled workflows to facilitate cross-functional collaboration.
- Develop other designers through feedback, mentorship, and hiring contributions.
