Requirements

  • 7+ years of experience in Business Intelligence, Data Analytics, or a related field, including at least 2+ years in a leadership or team management role.
  • Strong experience delivering financial reporting and analytics solutions, ideally within law firms or professional services environments.
  • Advanced proficiency in Power BI or Microsoft Fabric, including DAX, semantic modeling, and dashboard development.
  • Strong SQL and data modeling expertise, with experience designing scalable and performant data structures for analytics.
  • Familiarity with law firm financial systems such as Elite, Aderant, or similar platforms.
  • Experience with data warehousing concepts, ETL processes, and BI governance practices.
  • Strong communication and stakeholder management skills, with the ability to work effectively in client-facing environments.
  • Excellent analytical, problem-solving, and organizational abilities with strong attention to detail.
  • Ability to balance leadership responsibilities with hands-on technical delivery in a consulting environment.

Responsibilities

  • Lead, mentor, and manage a team of BI Developers, including task assignment, performance management, coaching, and fostering a high-performance culture.
  • Act as a hands-on contributor to BI delivery, including Power BI development, semantic/tabular modeling, DAX measures, dashboards, and reporting solutions.
  • Partner with clients and stakeholders to gather requirements and translate them into scalable, accurate, and actionable BI solutions.
  • Design and deliver financial reporting and analytics for law firm metrics such as revenue, profitability, billing, collections, WIP, and utilization.
  • Ensure data accuracy, governance, and consistency across reporting systems while adhering to BI best practices and documentation standards.
  • Drive process improvements, reporting optimization, and automation initiatives to enhance efficiency and scalability.
  • Review, validate, and support deliverables produced by team members to ensure quality and technical excellence.
  • Contribute to innovation by staying current with BI tools, data modeling practices, and industry trends in professional services analytics.
