Requirements

  • 5+ years in a data engineering, data science, technical architecture, or similar pre-sales/consulting role.
  • Experience building distributed data systems at scale.
  • Proficiency programming in and debugging Python and SQL.
  • Experience using agentic coding harnesses and demonstrable experience scaling work leveraging them.
  • Proven experience building solutions with AWS, Azure, or GCP.
  • Expertise in Data Engineering (Spark, Hadoop, Kafka) or Data Science/ML (pandas, scikit-learn, pytorch, Tensorflow).
  • Available to travel to customers within your region.
  • Quantitative degree (Computer Science, Applied Mathematics, Operations Research) is desired.
  • Databricks Certification is a plus.

Responsibilities

  • Partner with sales teams to provide technical leadership and help customers understand Databricks solutions.
  • Work directly with prospective, greenfield customers on their 0 to 1 journey.
  • Consult on Big Data architectures and implement proof of concepts for strategic projects.
  • Validate integrations with cloud services, internal tools, and 3rd party applications.
  • Collaborate with fellow Solutions Architects to support users and project development.
  • Promote and recruit contributors for open-source projects including Spark, Delta Lake, and MLflow.
