Requirements
- 5+ years in a data engineering, data science, technical architecture, or similar pre-sales/consulting role.
- Experience building distributed data systems at scale.
- Proficiency programming in and debugging Python and SQL.
- Experience using agentic coding harnesses and demonstrable experience scaling work leveraging them.
- Proven experience building solutions with AWS, Azure, or GCP.
- Expertise in Data Engineering (Spark, Hadoop, Kafka) or Data Science/ML (pandas, scikit-learn, pytorch, Tensorflow).
- Available to travel to customers within your region.
- Quantitative degree (Computer Science, Applied Mathematics, Operations Research) is desired.
- Databricks Certification is a plus.
Responsibilities
- Partner with sales teams to provide technical leadership and help customers understand Databricks solutions.
- Work directly with prospective, greenfield customers on their 0 to 1 journey.
- Consult on Big Data architectures and implement proof of concepts for strategic projects.
- Validate integrations with cloud services, internal tools, and 3rd party applications.
- Collaborate with fellow Solutions Architects to support users and project development.
- Promote and recruit contributors for open-source projects including Spark, Delta Lake, and MLflow.
