Requirements
- 5+ years of progressive experience in Business/Publisher Development in the adtech, digital publishing, or technology space.
- Prior or current experience working remotely with a distributed team of stakeholders.
- Experience with the blogging/web publishing community.
- Proven experience with the full sales cycle and ability to close deals.
- Strong proficiency with Google Suite.
- Experience with communication platforms like Slack.
- Experience working with a CRM such as Hubspot or Salesforce.
- Understanding of online marketing, advertising industries, and sales/account management best practices.
- Demonstrated ability to successfully present a value proposition and meet sales targets.
- Strong relationship management skills with internal and external contacts.
- Excellent organizational and multi-tasking abilities.
- Availability to travel approximately 30% for business opportunities and team retreats.
Responsibilities
- Prospect new publisher opportunities across all verticals that qualify for Mediavine programs.
- Pitch Mediavine solutions and close business to meet or exceed targets set by leadership.
- Build and manage individual sales pipelines through active engagement and creative follow-up.
- Identify and reach out to web properties that align with Mediavine’s quality standards.
- Lead introductory and discovery calls with prospective publishers.
- Collaborate with the publisher development and success teams to contribute to overall business goals.
- Maintain deep knowledge of the ad tech landscape and Mediavine’s products and services.
- Serve as a point of contact for clients during the onboarding process.
