Requirements
- 5–8 years of experience in FP&A, corporate finance, or a closely related analytical role.
- Background in a SaaS or technology company.
- Demonstrated experience with budgeting, forecasting, headcount modeling, and variance analysis.
- Familiarity with cloud infrastructure economics and building cost models.
- Deep understanding of SaaS revenue metrics (ARR, NRR, pipeline velocity, CAC, LTV).
- Experience building and owning product-level P&L models (revenue, COGS, gross margin, investment allocation).
- Active use of AI tools for financial modeling, research, and analysis with the ability to validate outputs.
- Ability to work in environments where data is incomplete or infrastructure is maturing.
- Clear communication skills with experience translating financial analysis for non-finance audiences.
Responsibilities
- Own the annual budget and rolling forecasts for the R&D organization, including headcount, contractor spend, software, and infrastructure costs.
- Serve as the day-to-day finance partner for R&D, modeling scenarios and providing financial clarity for leadership decisions.
- Build business case models for R&D investments, new product development, and major platform capability builds.
- Model investment tradeoffs for R&D leadership and track actual performance against business cases.
- Own cloud hosting cost reporting and forecasting, identifying optimization opportunities across the cloud portfolio.
- Build and maintain a product-level P&L for key product lines covering ARR, gross margin, and investment allocation.
- Contribute product-line financial insights to executive and board-level reporting.
