Requirements
- 10+ years of experience in quality assurance/quality control within apparel and/or home textile manufacturing.
- 10+ years of people management experience, including building and scaling teams.
- Extensive experience working with overseas vendors in China, Vietnam, Cambodia, and other sourcing regions.
- Proven experience managing quality across multiple international markets including US, EU, Canada, Australia, and UK.
- Expert knowledge of international safety and regulatory compliance standards for apparel and home textiles.
- Strong working knowledge of home textile testing standards (AATCC, ASTM) and flammability regulations (16 CFR).
- Familiarity with sustainable textile certifications (OEKO-TEX, GOTS, bluesign).
- Experience supporting major retail accounts and navigating complex retailer compliance programs.
- Background in both DTC/e-commerce and wholesale/retail channels.
- Ability and willingness to travel internationally for vendor visits, audits, and meetings.
- Superior fluency with MS Excel, Google Sheets, and digital communication tools.
Responsibilities
- Own and drive global QA strategy, frameworks, SOPs, and compliance standards across all vendors, categories, and production countries.
- Build, lead, and mentor a high-performing global QA team.
- Define and track quality performance KPIs across the global supply chain with regular executive reporting.
- Serve as the subject-matter expert on quality, safety, and regulatory compliance across US, EU, Canada, Australia, and UK markets.
- Lead international labeling strategy and retail compliance programs for big-box, department, and DTC channels.
- Manage the end-to-end inspection lifecycle including pre-production meetings, in-line inspections, and final inspections.
- Conduct root cause analysis for quality issues and implement corrective action plans with vendors.
- Collaborate with Product Development, Sourcing, and Operations to embed quality into the product lifecycle.
