Requirements
- Deep expertise in ASC 606, including multi-element arrangements, SSP evaluation, variable consideration, and contract modifications.
- Experience leading the revenue close, including deferred revenue, unbilled receivables, and journal entry review.
- Track record of partnering with Sales and Legal on contract review and revenue impact assessments.
- Experience in a pre-IPO or public company environment with exposure to external audit and controls build-out.
- Active CPA, ACA, or ACCA qualification.
- Strong systems proficiency; Stripe or comparable revenue recognition tool preferred.
- Experience with consumption/usage-based and subscription billing models (bonus).
- Familiarity with ASC 326 (CECL) and high-volume SaaS AR accounting (bonus).
- Multi-entity or international revenue accounting background (bonus).
- Big 4 or public accounting background (plus).
Responsibilities
- Own end-to-end revenue recognition under ASC 606.
- Lead the monthly revenue close process, including deferred revenue management and flux analysis.
- Act as the internal expert on the impact of new products, pricing structures, and commercial arrangements on the income statement.
- Partner with Sales, Legal, Billing Operations, Engineering, and FP&A to review contracts and assess performance obligations.
- Coordinate external audits and build scalable processes to support IPO readiness.
