Requirements
- Strong full-stack engineer who writes clean, maintainable code
- Experience connecting disparate systems through APIs, webhooks, and data synchronization
- Scrappy and resourceful: experience shipping MVPs, gathering feedback, and iterating fast
- Thrive in ambiguity without detailed specs: ability to talk to users and translate needs into working code
- Strong communication skills to explain technical concepts to non-technical stakeholders
- Great team player who upholds and contributes to a positive and collaborative culture
- Nice to have: experience with AI/LLM applications, RAG systems, or semantic search
- Nice to have: background in law or a regulated industry
- Nice to have: previous startup experience
Responsibilities
- Build the full platform from scratch, automating the admin work that consumes attorneys' time: intake flows, document generation, matter tracking, billing, and client communications
- Uphold a high bar for code quality, security, and reliability in an environment where what you build touches sensitive client data and regulated legal work
- Work directly with attorneys and the Founding Partner to understand requirements and ship the right thing
- Own the technical architecture, including data storage, system integrations, and AI deployment
- Lead the design of the AI and LLM layer, including document generation, evaluation frameworks, and feedback loops
- Build the client-facing side, including intake, onboarding, and ongoing engagement
