Requirements
- Bachelor's degree.
- Active Tennessee elementary teaching certificate.
- Ability to clear required background check.
- Experience working with middle school-aged students.
- Experience teaching in an online or brick-and-mortar environment.
- Experience supporting adults and children in the use of technology.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Excel, Outlook, Word, and PowerPoint.
- Ability to rapidly learn and adapt to new technologies and teaching platforms.
- Ability to maintain teacher certification and professional development hours.
- Ability to work independently, typically 40+ hours per week.
Responsibilities
- Provide rich and engaging synchronous and asynchronous learning experiences for students.
- Personalize learning and differentiate instruction based on student mastery level.
- Monitor student progress and maintain academic integrity via the learning management system.
- Establish and maintain positive rapport with students, parents, and learning coaches.
- Prepare students for high-stakes standardized tests.
- Travel occasionally for face-to-face professional development and student testing.
