Requirements
- Bachelor’s degree or higher in mathematics, education, or related STEM field (Master’s preferred).
- Minimum 1+ years of teaching experience in math or experience working in a college-level tutoring center.
- Minimum GPA of 3.5 or higher.
- Proficiency in MS Excel, MS Word, MS PowerPoint, and G-Suites.
- Mastery of SAT and ACT Math, including Pre-Algebra, Algebra I & II, Geometry, Trigonometry, and Statistics.
- Access to a reliable internet connection and a workspace with minimal noise.
- Strong organizational skills and ability to work independently and in a team environment.
- Robust understanding of classroom pedagogy and ability to create customized lesson plans.
Responsibilities
- Instruct small core groups of students in their math core skills to promote long-term understanding and top scores in ACT & SAT exams.
- Track student progress through a unique multi-phase curriculum and engage students in individualized improvement opportunities.
- Model professionalism by replying to students promptly, maintaining lesson schedules on the online platform, and holding students accountable for assignments.
- Spearhead the development and creative execution of evolving lesson plans and curriculum.
- Mentor middle and high school students with empathy through the competitive college application process.
